It was a good base for where we wanted to be

    Reasonable comfort for reasonable price

Room & decor could do with some sprucing up.Mattress rather sad! Cleaners were the most friendly. Breakfast a bit disorganised.

They were very polite and very dog friendly, they even asked if the dog would like a sausage for breakfast.

Location, friendliness of staff and good food.

Very disappointed with the room, glad we didn't have to pay the full price of £125/night. Rooms definitely need renovating.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and service was excellent. The Public areas were very comfortable and the atmosphere very friendly. Value for money was superb.

    Mattress was not comfortable.

Good attractive location with plenty of parking

We have stayed at this hotel before when visiting relatives and were surprised at the price increase this time. There has obviously been work done but the fittings in the bathroom were cheap but the bedding and beds were fine. We did not eat in the restaurant but the breakfast was OK.

Lovely food, great staff & an all round relaxing weekend.

Stayed in a first floor room above the main entrance where the smokers congregated so had to keep the window closed in the evening.

We liked the location of the hotel, near to the Broads and yet in easy reach of the Norfolk coast enabling a varied break over the Easter wekend. The room rate was also very well priced compared to other hotels of similar standard in the area. Whilst we only used the restaraunt for breakfasts, the restaraunt was always very busy in the evening. We would recommend taking a car as the hotel is a fair distance from the town of Stalham.

There was nothing that we "did not like" but some of the furnishings and the bathroom were a little "tired" and could do with some renovation. The mattreses on the beds were also to soft for our liking.

Very nice hotel ideally situated for visiting the Norfolk Broads. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent food served in the restaurant.

Our reception was friendly and efficient, and the food was good

The room was nicely furnished and warm with two nice, comfortable armchairs and a televison. The only problem was that there was literally no room for the case stand and case could be put. We put our small case on the floor and walked round it. If it had been a large case the situation would have been impossible. I suggest that room would be better with a single bed and one occupant.

Friendly efficient staff. Ideal location for Norfolk beaches and Broads. Picturesque setting on river. Lovely garden & grounds.

Hard pillows and small double bed. Lots of noise from busy road all night long. Too hot in room to sleep with window closed to minimise noise.

i really enjoyed my stay.i needed at the last moment a couple of days relaxing away from home due to family staying at mine for couple weeks with a yr old grandson and newborn twins so needed some real me time.i was able to relax with a drink on the patio area overlooking the river. The staff were friendly and excellent without being forceful or in your face. The experience for what i paid was outstanding with the hotel being clean prices fair and people nice and friendly. We did eat in the hotel restuarant and the food was well priced and lovely had 2courses saturday but only the main sunday due to there being so much and so good couldnt eat all of it.well done to the chef. Not far to drive to yarmouth or cromer for beaches though went to gorleston for my boyfriend to do fishing apart from weather it was great also norwich is not to far away either.Rooms are quite small and only shower over bath which was bit dated but very clean and comfortable and well presented.Would recommend and have done to friends and neighbours purely on price, friendliness and food and would stay here again in future.

The rooms are quite small and was near the road but was not to much of a problem i still had good nights sleep would have preferred second floor overlooking the river away from road.Though the rooms are small they are adequate with comfy bed though bit dated bathroom.I couldnt get the shower to work as was over the bath and was to stiff for me to change from bath to shower but water was nice and hot so just had a bath instead.Best if eating in evening in hotel to book as gets very busy.On sunday was busy in lounge with people that had watched the wimbledon and found some younger guys did hog the television a bit but we just took our drinks out to patio and then to our room later. As thefood is so good in hotel i feel sometimes especially in hot weather this hotel bar and restuarant could get very busy due to the boats mooring next to the hotel on the river.

This was an excellent place to stay, good food, very attentive staff, and a view of the river from the room. Our stay was a one night between a Broads boat holiday and visiting friends on the Sunday, but will stay here again for longer.
